Camp Lo and Ski Beatz Talk about A New Album Currently In Development

Hip Hop duo Camp Lo and Ski Beatz decided to provide us with a video update to announce their upcoming project that’s going to be released later on this year.
The artists also managed to add some personal information about their creation process as well as details about their full collaboration so this set of visuals can be placed as a full update if you’re surfing their fan base.

After witnessing Freddie Gibbs and Madlib teaming up for “Pinata” we are facing another Hip Hop album having the same producer under its full length. Could this be a new trend in 2014? Someone jumped ahead and called it “odd pairing” but placing the concept as a consistent breath of fresh air for today’s Hip Hop. Let’s try to find out if this combination will delivered as promised.

As you can probably see from the beginning, Camp Lo and Ski Beatz seem pretty excited to work for this new album and the energy surrounding the LP seems to be pretty amazing. The new project, set as a Camp Lo release but produced entirely by Ski Beatz, has no release date yet but the sides involved were kind enough to share the current state with us and apparently we don’t need to practice the waiting game much longer.

Ski tells us that doing studio sessions with Camp Lo comes with a unpredictable element involved but at the same time the duo manages to pick up very quick if the beats provided are a solid composition. Geechi Suede adds up next that this collaboration doesn't fit in any pattern that’s already existing and they actually did a lot of improvisation with Ski Beatz. At some point a recording jumped from a beat-boxing session to a freestyle so it’s really hard to guess how the final product will turn out.

Sonny Cheeba also jumps in and tells us that nothing is changed when it comes to Camp Lo and they stand for the same things. Ski carries on the initial thought and mentions that this combination stands for the “dope organic Hip Hop sound” and according to him there’s a heavy base that still supports this practice.
